Hello!

I have a 2004 RX 330 with Navigation. It's been working fine up until now. I have the original navigation disc that came with it from the factory. The navigation screen now reads, "unable to read data - check if map dvd is correct." This is what I've done:

Last week: I located the dvd system in the rear hatch, ejected the cd, checked the disc for scratches, inserted the disc, and looked at the main screen to see if anything happened. It worked, but only for a day. Then it went back to the same message as before.

Today: I did the same thing as I did before, however, the system didn't even seem to "take" or "read" the cd as it did before. The message is still the same.

Is there a problem with the disc or the dvd player? I know I could get an updated disc, but I'm worried that I'll buy a new disc and find out that the dvd player has the issue. (more money spent) I don't use the navigation much since I don't travel outside of my city. I just don't like having a "grey screen with the "message" while I'm driving around! Has this happened to anyone else? Please let me know!!

Is is the dvd player, I recently saw this problem in another automobile. Owner bought a used nav ecu from ebay and is back working again
