Hello

I have big collection of MP3 CDs. I just realize,on my NEW OLD CPO (contrary to my perception) that 2005 RX 330s doesn't play MP3 CDs. Is this true?? When I insert the CD it starts and I can see song time tracker moving...but NO SOUND...Is something wrong or it doesn't play MP3 CDs.

I think MP3 capability was added in 2007. I have a friend with a 2006 that doesn't play them, whereas my first-year RX350 does.

on my 07 RX 350 has the words 'WMA' and 'MP3" right above the CD changer slot... so that would be an obvious indication if you happen to have that there or not

You can always buy a 2007 deck and swap it out, it's much cleaner and retains the factory look

Are you suggesting that I should replace CD changer in my 2005 Lexus with one from model year 2007-2008. What will be the appr. cost and who is the best installer?

Yes, I would like to know this as well. However, I would rather change to the 2007+ DVD changer. Would that allow me to play DVDs on the front NAV screen?
