Default Faint Ventilation Noise

Hello All - proud owner of a 2006 RX330, and just recently, I have been hearing a slight ventilation noise that originates from the glove compartment area. I hear the noise when the AC is on or off and the noise goes away when I hit the off button. I am unsure if whether the filter needs to be changed. Anyone else experience this or have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Please, define "ventilation noise". Is it a sound of the heater/ac blower?

yeah, more discription would be helpful. When does it happen, and how long for? probably is the AC compressor if it happens only when the AC button is pressed and stops when it isnt.

sounds like the cover for the cabin filter isnt secured.

i would locate the cabin filter replacement procedures. remove the air filter to inspect, and reinstall. who know you may find the problem along the way.

Yeah, get in there and get a new filter if you don't know when it was last changed. Could be a small leaf but I suspect you hear the blower motor, not much you can do to fix that except try to lube the blower but that is probably too much work for maybe no results.

Had similar issue one time. The dealer did not replace the cabin filter cover properly.
