I haven't seen any unit with Front USB so far but have heard that some units have
rear USB port but that still leave a cable out to connect the device to the USB. Either way
when you dealing with iPod/iPhone, you most likely will have some kind of cable hanging regardless unless you have a docking station in your car and wires are hidden which is about the cleanest way of doing it.

Kuda Mount
I had planned on using one of these Kuda mounts for my iPhone. I had the cable come out of the gear shifter cover.
