I have a 2004 RX330 and I want to purchase an aftermarket in dash NAVI system. I have found a picture of the required dash kit on here but I do not know where or how to find/order one. I am from Ontario. If anyone can help me out on this one, that would be great.

Nice work keys. Did you fit it yourself, or get an installer to do so?
We have just bought our RX330 (second hand), and it noes not have the navigation pack.
I am cosidering a Pioneer Avic-F unit, but as they are so new, I cannot seem to find anyone with experience.
Last Q for you.. Does the beatsonic kit allow for the mone and volume controls to be used with 3rd party head units (in your experience)?

Unfortunately. Your looking at a setup I had in my Mark Levinson Equipped RX350 for about 3 hours. The Beatsonic kit doesn't work on the ML cars.
The kits are made for the non DVD equipped cars. You should not have a problem. Just email them and let them know what you have before buying.

Cheer Keys,
I think I will use an installer too. I have fitted head units in the past, but the 330 is nicer than the bombs i have driven in the past, so elec tape just doesnt seem appropriate![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
One niggling question, do the wheel mounted volume controls get disabled with the beatsonic harness? Or is it dependant on the head unit itself?

Sorry to bring up an old topic but to the guy who has this in dash kit working, I found this kit here:
http://www.installer.com/item/displa...p?it=SLA-82AFB
Is this the one you used and what are the dimensions of your kenwood player? Do only certain receivers fit in this kit or can you buy any audio receiver as long as they go into that kit?
Thank you. (I have a 2004 rx 330 with Navi but not Mark Levinson)

Yes, that is the same face plate. But the Beatsonic kits comes with a wire harness to hook everything up to the exsiting wiring. If you were going to run a seperate system and start from scratch. You just need this face plate.
The Kenwood stereo was a standard Double DIN size.

Well I don't understand what you mean start from scratch but all I wanted to do was get another audio receiver that has ipod input and connect it to the same stock sound system on the lexus. I don't really like the way VAIS, etc does it with a wire hanging out. Based on this do I need just the faceplate or the wiring too?
Thank you. I was checking some Double DIN receivers on amazon and amazon said some dont fit only certain ones, but I think that is because Double Din receiver come in different dimensions and obviously the faceplate only has a set area to put it in. I was interested in some pioneer Double DIN and thought it was ok but amazon advised that it would not fit. Pretty sad about that.

To hook up a new double DIN stereo to the exsiting RX wiring. You need the face plate and wiring.
If you want to put in a whole new stereo. Or start from scratch. You would need a double DIN head unit. Amp and new speakers. To do this you just need the face plate.
Either option will have a cable sticking out somewhere. Just like the Vais. You have to be able to hook up the iPhone.
