Ouch! I haven't gone too far beyond 50K in either one of my RXs. So you'll have to excuse me, I'm not familiar with the tranny issues. Have you made a decision on the 450h? You can't break the chain

I too have been seeing this happen to my RX. It doesn't do it every time but I am worried after reading about it here. I was actually going to make a thread about this same issue. It also seems to happen more when I drive, than my finacee. I figured it was more in how I was driving than anything but I can't really figure out why it happens. I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary.

I pretty much drive it like a little old lady so it's not that I accelerate hard or anything. Actually, it's usually the opposite, I feel it when I have my foot about half way on the throttle, then it shifts like it can't make up it's mind. Like it goes up a gear and then back down. I think it's on the 2-3 shift. I just continue to keep my foot steady on the throttle.

So, there is a TSB out there for this? Does the reflash help? I bought my RX used with 70K miles on it and it's been doing it since we got it. We received a three month power train warranty, which I'm pretty sure covers the tranny, and I want to have it checked out before I run out of time.

yes there is a TSB for this. but it is so common that you can just go to your lexus and say you want a recalibration of the ECM for transmission issues
