Default A/C Blinking

Just to see if anyone has the solution to the problem know the reason behind.

My Year 2006 RX300 will have the A/C Blinking with the compressor switching off as the car runs over pool of water.

Then i will just need to switch off the a/c and switch back on then everything goes back to normal unless i ran over a pool of water.

However, it is ok no matter how heavy the rain is.

I have brought the car to a mechanic but they could not find the fault.

Please advise if anyone has the experience so that i can direct the fault directly to the mechanic.

Regards,
BoyBoy

I have a 2004RX that does the same thing. Only when I hit a pool of water! I think the water must hit some kind of sensor. I have no problem other than having to turn the air off and on to correct it.

Was told by my dealer that the A/C cutting out when driving through water was "normal." Have been told by other Toyota owners they have the same problem.

Haven't experienced this situation, however, I was wondering how deep of standing water are you driving through to have this happen? I would think the lower shrouding under the engine would stop most water kicked up by the wheels to cause this.

Living in FL, there is plenty of rain and lots of standing water on the roads in a number of locations. I have had this happen with only a 1/4" of water on the road surface, however, I notice it happens more with water on the driver side of the car vs. passenger side when going through the water.

I have also experience it usually on the driver side as i would think that it is due to the compressor is situated on the driver side.

If that is normal as mentioned by others, why it does not happen to all RX model?
