Winter Tyres
Hello...I'm looking for some help...I've recently moved to Germany from the UK and exported my RX400h. I desperately need to put on some winter tyres (minus 14 celcius this week!) and someone in my office is selling their alloys/winter tyres which were previously used on a BMW X5. Will they fit on my Lexus? They are 235/65R17 (108H). Any advice urgently needed. Thanks.

the bolt pattern is different from the BMW to the Lexus.
so the rims will not work for sure.
the tires should fit fine, they are a little wider than what you have on there now. assuming you have 17's.
sounds like you are better off buying a winter wheel package from new. the good news is that it will fit your vehicle better

I agree with Kiwi. You could possibly buy these, then separate the tires from the rims, sell the rims, and get rims that fit your Lexus, then remount the tires. Seems like a lot of work though.
If you have the 235/55/18 tires on your vehicle, you can use a 235/65/17, but the preferred size is 225/65/17 when downsizing for the winter tires. If you have the 225/65/17 already, then your are upping the width, but as Kiwi said, it will work.

^^plus 2. Buy a new tire set since the BMW rims are worthless to you.
