222k miles on original transmission fluid and filter. Oil was a little brown yet car shifted pretty good. Previous owner of 13 years who put most of the miles on the car told me it was never changed.
Changed fluid x3, new filter and transmission mount. Now it truly shifts like butter.

I had a 2001 RX300, I drove for 16 years until I wrecked it in 2017. It had a little over 316k miles when it was totaled due to the accident. It had the original motor and transmission. The transmission fluid was regularly drained and refilled about every 30k, and I would drop the pan and clean the pan and change the filter at least every 100k around when the timing belt was changed. I would likely still be driving it today if I hadn't pulled out in front of that pick up truck! I loved the way that 1st Generation RX drove and handled! I have since then had 2008 and 2013 RX models. No problems on them either.

Got a 2004 RX330 (Japan built) in the family. Has ~280k km's on it.
Have never done a filter, but probably 6-7 drain & fills over the years of owning it (since ~2009). Did get it reprogrammed at the dealer, due to the sh-it software causing the shift flares.
Still does it on the sweet spots, but its been a reliable car for all these years and tons of mileage (proportionately).

Ex has a 2008 AWD rx350 with 210k miles- just replaced tranny w a used one.
Just before, or around 150k miles she had a shudder that was explained to be a few different things including torque converter. So I flushed it and put a filter in w some Valvoline max life in it along with an additive that I can't remember. Still did it, but much less, and then stopped from what I noticed- I drove it seldom but when riding in it I didn't notice it and it was bad! Would shake the car. I honestly don't know wtf it was. I wasn't as inclined as I am now.
Lasted up to 210k miles doing fine w slight flares. Up until I checked it one day and it was completely empty of fluid. Was a massive leak she never noticed, and mentioned she had put some fluid in it some months back... I was convinced from the giant metal slivers on the full magnet that it was bound to go any minute so she ponied up and I swapped it.
No idea the milage but put Toyota ws in this go about and it runs like a champ.

Yes, please use Toyota Transmission Fluid on our cars (TIV or the WS). You might regret using anything else but.

I had the '99 Lexus RX 300 and although it had a number of problems (traded it in when catalytic converter failed), I had transmission fluid changed twice up to 189k miles.
Replaced it with a 2005 RX330 that now has 234k miles on it. Replaced transmission fluid 3x and told by mechanic to stop doing it; always clean and better to leave it alone. Seems to shift fine. (But now in the dealership with a cracked drive shaft. Would take a week to get an After market part shipped here to save a few hundred, but decided to buy one from Lexus. Just not trusting what will happen if were shipped ground. It will be swapped out tomorrow at the local Toyota dealer. Part was $1300+ and labor will be $420. Cheaper than a new car.)

2001 RX300 here with 324,000 miles. Regular drain and fills (every second or third oil change) with Valvoline Maxlife ATF. Shifts like new. I bought it with 175,000 miles on it, so this regimen only applies to the time I have had it.
Just replaced timing belt and water pump this week. Do all the work myself. I tell my wife it should be good for another 21 years of service.
(Sorry, just noticed this thread was about 2nd gen RX's.)
