Default Brake Issues

Help! having problems with my rear brakes for the second time since purchasing my used 2004 Lexus RX330. When I purchased the RX it had 42k and at 60K it needed a rear brake replacements, not to mention that my car sat in a Lexus dealership for over 15 days prior to break replacement because my car instantly stopped while driving as the car locked up feeling like the brakes were being applied but not from me. I was unable to drive and a sensor light came on with a picture of what looked like a tire. I then had the car towed as I was unble to drive, placing the car in reverse and parking it. im now at 83k and need rear right rotors replaced my car once again was towed to the dealership where it was purchased. Im upset as this is the second time around, my driving is must of an old lady, and no I do not use both feet on pedals. Anyone?

What did they replace the first time? You could have sticking calipers?

Did you pay for the rear brake the 1st time? How much and what did they indicate in the report?

I vote for sticking caliper(s). A good way to check and see if one or more calipers is sticking is to drive the vehicle a fair distance - to the store and back. Then, get out and feel the alloy wheel. If you have a sticking caliper, it will build up a lot of heat and that heat will be transmitted to the metal components of the suspension and ulitmately to the wheel. Start at the center of the wheel and then move outward. I have diagnosed two sticking calipers on different cars this way. If you have one caliper sticking, it will be significantly hotter than the other three. If you drive it far, it may even be so hot as to preclude touching for more than a split second.

i have seen the metal bracket which holds the flex line in place swell and do the same thing. it allows fluid to be forced through, but not return.

could also be the slider pins.

but more than likely its the caliper
