Default Free Tank of Gas

I took my RX350 in to the dealer today for a recall and also to have some warranty work done. I was told to bring it in close to empty since Lexus would pay to fill it up. That was their way to apologize for the recall. When I went to pick the car up this afternoon it had not been filled. I brought this to the attention to the service adviser and they immediately sent it out to be filled. Is it typical for Lexus to pay for a fill-up or was I just lucky?

being my pessimistic self, they probably only put regular (87 octane) fuel in there, even if you are a supreme user

My dealer filled my tank once after a service. Freaked me out because I just came out of a vehicle with a bad fuel gauge, among many other things.

I agree with RXSF, I don't mind if they do or not because I'm picky about the gas I put in.

The only free gas I received from my dealer was when I bought my 07 RX350. In retrospect, I estimate that fee gas cost me about $1,500 per gallon, including the container.

Car wash, gas, coffee & cookies, all free. Or does a $150 oil change cover those costs?

Kind of like Obama's Health Care. If you think health insurance is high now, just wait until it's free.
