I'm a new owner of a 2004 RX330. On the dashboard between the Power Rear View Mirror Control Switch and Power Back Door Opener/Closer Switch is a red light that stays lit in the spot where the Easy Access Mode Switch should be. The dealer had no idea what it is. Does anyone have the same setup?

Thanks for trying. The security on the dashboard is active. If it is a security light is must be an aftermarket system. I looked in the owners manual but there is no option or explanation for it.

It could be either. I removed the plate and there are two wires, red and blue, connected to the light and tapped into an original wire harness behind the dash. The red and blue wires do not look original.

Is there any electronic wizzes out there that professionally install aftermarket alarms and/or starters? If so, what would be the ohm/voltage reading on the hot and neutral wires for an alarm versus a remote starter? Maybe I can narrow it down from there.

Does this stay lit all the time or only when the engine is off? It is a possibility this is a "fake car alarm" but they are suppose to flash only when the engine is off, even if the car is unlocked.

It stays lit ALL the time. there is no fluctuation, ALL the time
