Hello Lexuers!

Did someone change the bushings? If so, what brand did they use?

Mine need to be replaced, and there is no OEM - just replacing the complete set, which is very expensive.

I found bushings from Dorman Premium, Japanparts and Mevotec. Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Oscareto,
Are you doing the work yourself or hiring a shop to do it?

I want to buy the parts and hire a mechanic to change them.

You will have to remove LCA to replace bushing. But you will also need to find a shop with press.

I found a ACDELCO PRO GOLD lower arm at RockAuto with a decent price (almost the price of Mevotech Bushing).

Is a decent brand?

AC Delco has been around a long time but I have no idea the quality these days.
I'd buy these before buying those other "no-name" brands for sure, you can get that junk all day long on ebay.

Just thinking for $50 each side seems less risky than buying bushings and paying a mechanic and when he has it all apart they don't fit or something.

PS- Rockauto has always treated me right and shipping was fast and everything I've ordered so far fit first time so I like them- BUT-I can't say the same for the local auto part stores since they screw me over many times with junk that doesn't fit and I have to do the job twice.

Looks good to me.

Not me... I ordered 2 LCA but they were different when the order was delivered. Fortunately, the wrong LCA was defective, so I returned it and made a new order.

Dang sorry to hear about that.

Maybe I just got lucky so far but that's good to know.

I understand ... for me it is complicated to know which brands actually provide. It seems to me that Mevotech/Moog/555 are good brands and good substitutes for OE parts. And I need to buy it, send it to a friend in San Diego, so he can send it here. Although the Brazilian auto parts industry is very good, it has a lot of Chinese garbage.

If prices for LCA with ball join and w/out ball join are about the same then I would recommend to buy LCA with ball joint.

Yeah, but I bought the ball points before ... As the price of Mevotech bushings was almost equal to an AC Delco LCA, I ended up buying it.

And I will keep the old LCAs, so I can change the bushings in the future and store.

I think most parts are made in China but they have different quality (high, good and garbage) based on the target market
