Just came from Costco in Grafton, $2.79 Reg. & $2.99 Prem.

I filled up yesterday in Hartford for $2.84 for Prem. Used a grocery store coupon. When you Buy so much in food & get a discount, the more you buy the bigger the discount. I got 15 cents off per gallon this time.

Wow do I consider myself lucky. $2.83 for premium and I can't pump my own gas. The difference between regular and premium around here is $.30.

Filled up immediately. 40 cents per gallon is hard to justify when the vehicle runs just as good on 87 or 89 the way I drive it. Just my 2 cents worth. I do use premium probably 50% of the time
I just filled up near Vieanna, GA, today at a Shell station off of I-75 where their regular was $2.79/gallon and their premium was $2.99/gallon. Only $ 0.20 a gallon more for premium.

You are lucky in that your gasoline tax (Fed, state and local) is only 39.3 cents a gallon. In WI it is 51.3 cents a gallon.

Interesting tax map.

He stole the gas tax money and used it for propping up the state budget?

Now the roads suck and there is no place to steal fund back from. Wasn't he clever.

Even though he's gone at the end of the year, we'll be paying for this clown's decisions for years to come.

Just a question for all of you, have your gasoline habits changed in say where you buy your gasoline since this whole recession started either:

1. Buying gasoline at some other station (maybe due to it being cheaper)

And/Or

2. Bought a lower grade of gas of gasoline than you normally would have?

1. Yes - But the place (Sam's Club) I bought mine from is always one of the cheapest around.

2. Yes - Because my 04 RX330 MINIMUM octane is 87 though it runs better with Premium (Smoother acceleration and less noticeable hesitations). Everything is cut back in this economy and so is the Premium gas for my RX. However, I still use Premium on my other 2 cars that require it.

I plan on keeping my RX 350 for many years, thus saving me money in the long run so I am not going to chance using lower than premium gas or cheap gas. I use Shell premium 95% of the time. I believe it is one of the best gasolines on the market, some may disagree, but it gives me peace of mind and none of my vehicles have ever had any fuel related problems in my 15 years of driving.
