Finally was able to take a picture of the area normally needing sealing with silicone (at least for me it was the issue). I took off the headlamp and went through the bumper disassembly, but at least one person here just did the re-seal without removing the HL.

Before you start cussing at the RX and being withour warranty, your condensation might be solved by this very simple repair. Good luck.

Tip of the day:

 

So far after a year, knock on wood, no water inside the head lamp. It took me a year of blow drying, and hated rainy season because of the dreaded condensation!

Did you run a bead of sealant all the way around the whole lens cover? Or just the top edge? I was thinking of just sealing the top edge before resorting to taking off both headlamps to seal the whole lens cover.

 

what did you use mandyfig? just regular clear sealant?

 

Yes the regular clear sealant. And if you them right you can hardly tell that there's sealant on the joint.

 

Just the top. The water is coming from the top, when it rains, or car wash. That's where I found the leak in my case. But if you can seal all around, go for it!

Hi Willdog, where you able to take the bumper off and seal all around the headlight housing? Did it take care of the condensation issue?

 

What do you do to get the moisture out before you seal the head lamp?

Try drying with hair dryer. Pull out plugs and direct dryer to holes.

It will dry up eventually and after sealing, moisture will not come back.

 

Where are the plugs that I need pull out to dry out the bulb?

 

I can not remember the plugs...let me see if we have anothrr post that shows where they are.
