Default more power

After a bunch on maintenance my RX330 is finally making some decent power. [engine flush, premium gas] the ECU is learning my driving style and holds onto the revs a bit longer. I just need a few more horses.

Anyone know some bolt-ons to free up some more power?

I found some front wheel drive 1mz exhaust manifolds on ebay, do you know if these would fit the 3mz and or clear the 4wd system?

Any bolt on intake systems? or intake modifications?

I'm going to adjust my valves and replace the timing belt. Do you know if there are any more aggressive cam's available for the 3mz?

all those "extra" mods (intake, exhaust) will just reduce the resale value, nobody wants a modified car.

my suggestion is to buy a rx350, or money allowing a cayenne

If you still want to modify your RX330 here is what I've done:
Weapon R cold air intake system, order it directly from Weapon R and have it shipped to your house.

I noticed that you live in Ontario. If your close to Toronto I'd recommend going to Hot Rod Scott and have a dual exhaust system installed.

I love mine. I'm getting about another 100 km per tank of gas, and it preforms much better without being abrasively loud.
I hope this helps,
Chris

My rx330 has 250,000kms. It's worth nothing. We already have a 2010 rx350, I love the 2gr and the new lockup torque converter of the new 6 speed automatic. it shifts very nice.

I was thinking of swapping the 2gr into my car, combined with the lower gearing of the 330 transmission, it would be pretty quick. Just gotta find a crashed rx350. I know a guy who makes exhaust headers for the 2gr swap in mr2's he says the stock ecu is good for 300hp after you replace the restrictive manifolds, thats pretty impressive. The 2gr has a TRD supercharger available, as seen in the aurion, which adds another 50lb.ft, conservatively, on the same injectors.

I don't think i need that much power out of the rx330. Maybe an exhaust would suffice. I just want it to breathe better in the midrange.

DRIVERCHRIS - I am really close to Toronto.

Can you take pictures of your intake and exhaust set-up? I have access to a fabricator at my shop. I might buy that ebay exhaust manifold for the 1mz and reshape some of the welds/bends to make it stronger. Hopefully it fits the 3mz, but if not I can mount it to my rx300. At $300 it should be a lot of bang for the buck.

Thanks!

My intake system is already posted on the mods section of the 2nd generation forum. I will be posting pictures of my exhaust when I change my oil next.

If your looking for parts from a crashed rx350 look at kijiji.ca there are several posting from greenlane auto selling parts from crashed rx's. I hope this helps
