Had to replace the OEM (Panasonic) battery today on my 05 330 just before I put it up for sell. Do you think the car knows that it is on it last days with me?

Canadian made and feel the same. I must mention that I owned an 88 Cutlass Ciera, also made in Canada. Served me well.

I drive everything Japanese the past 16 years. My first car was a Maxima 87 manual ( made in Japan) and my dad took over and is still driving it for his part-time job. Believe it or not. Second car was also a Maxima automatic. Good car. Then my previous 2 cars were Honda built in Japan...Never had any major problems other than ball & joints replacement after 100k miles of driving. Then I moved onto Lexus (ordered 2 made in Japan). I also haven't had any problems with them mechanically or whatsoever. The last problem I had was a door jam and it was my old man's fault when I went to pick him up at the airport.
So if you like to drive Japanese cars. Have them made in Japan, because the quality and control and car assembly are superior there compared to the same brand cars that are built by factories around the world.
I trust Japanese products made in Japan when it comes to cars. Beside, that is what they are known for.
