My wife was driving my RX350 last week on a 500 mile trip. She reports that an alarm sounded, quietly and slowly at first then louder and faster. After about 30-45 seconds the alarm went off. She says that there were no lights flashing on the instrument panel and there was no change in performance to indicate anything was wrong. A couple of days later the same thing happened again. I've been driving the car around town since she returned and so far nothing has happened. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Talking about seat-belts, if there is weight on the front passenger seat and the seat belt is not engaged, it would set the soft warning.
Door ajar is another source.

I believe the seatbelt alarm will also activate if a passenger takes off the seat belt before the vehicle comes to a complete stop and then leaves the car. The driver then drives away a short distance and the seat belt alarm will sound.
