Default Air conditioner leak?

okay here it goes... my granddad owns a 2007 rx350. it has 75,000 on it. The car reeks of mildew and mold. the passenger floor mats are always wet/moist. there has never been any puddles, or anything like that, but you get the point. this wetness has made the inside of the whole car smell... i finally tore it apart this evening, i took off the a/c water pipe (idk what its called) the rubber tube that drains the water. the tube is not clogged.

i dont know what else to check.

he also told me that sometime when he parks in the garage, there will be no water form the A/c, and other times a VERY large puddle is there. i was thinking that it might be a bigger problem then anticipated... he ha taken it in to lexus and they just pushed him out the door tellign him nothing was wrong with it.

let me know if you guys have any ideas on what might b wrong with it, or anyting else i can check for. thanks

Default

perhaps there is a water leak on the passenger side??

i would start by peeling back the carpet to get a good look at the firewall area, then set up a hose to spray water and watch.

i think you have ruled out an AC problem, the drain isnt clogged, maybe jsut make sure it is in fact draining to the outside.
