Default No high speed fan on ac

I have a 2004 RX 330 with 72,000 miles and the ac will not go to the highest speed. The air is cool coming out of the vents but just not enough volume. Any ideas before I take it to the dealer for servicing?

if you have warranty i would let them look at it,

other wise, i would remove the blower motor and inspect. (its under the glove box, 3 screws and it comes straight down.)

also, check the cabin filter (open glove box, there are to clips on each side, push them into have the glove box fold fully open, you will see a rectangular door, pull and inspect.

if its other than that, i would take to dealer.

while you are there i would ask to check a used one just to compare. it may feel like not enough, but it may be normal.

Do you have a problem with fan speed or air flow? I mean, can you hear the sound of the fan motor changing as you attempt to change the speed?

Low, medium and high speed work fine on manual. When on the auto mode, it just isn't blowing at the maximum rate.

I thought auto lets the system regulate the fan speed and therefore may not need high fan setting.
