Default Cabin Air Filter Access Question/Help

We have an 06 330. I can see the cabin air filter behind the swing down glove box door. I also have located the two plastic fasteners or stops on the sides of the swing down door. It would appear that these need to be removed to allow the door to swing further down so one can access the filter. I can turn them a quarter or half turn but can not pull them out nor will they continue to unscrew.

How do I get these stops out of the way to allow the glove box door to swing out of the way?

Thx

I just did this last weekend. I found that once I turned the pins the proper way to pull them through I needed to use a small pliers to actually pull them out. When putting them back in I used a small bit of Armor-All on the pins and they slid back in and turned to lock a bit easier.

Default Best source for good quality filter???

I don't mind a non OEM filter if it is of equal or better quality. Is there a crossover part number for a Toyota filter??

Just specify your model and year, they will get you an equal. I usually get a few Denso filters when I shop at one of our approved Lexus vendors here. For the engine air filter, I use aftermarket.

Default Got it

I had to use a small flat head screw driver to pry it out once I turned it. Lifting up on the door to relieve pressure helped as well. Thanks all.
