Default NAV Software Update

I have 2008 RX400h with version 8.1 NAV software. Was at dealer today and inquired at parts department about update. I knew there was version 9.1 availabe but parts guy says 10.1 will be available sometime this month. He says versions can be skipped in a forward fashion with no problems. Has this been found to be true by those of you who have updated? Also said that no instructions come with the disc for doing update. I found one old thread which was said to have the instructions but the link no longer works. Was it scrubbed by somebody for the benefit of the service shops? Does anybody know where I can get the instructions? TIA

9.1 came out last year. The new one should be 10.1. It usually comes out some time in Sep. or Oct. You're fine if you skip years. We actually suggest to only update every 2-3 years to save the customer money.
