Default Wheels offsets, Spacer Hubs? 5mm, 10mm

Hey did a search.... not enough info. on some stuff but way too much on some. I am about to buy tires and mount the wheels but want to get the necessary other stuff before hand so I can just mount the wheels when the tires are put on.

I have these wheels: Work LS105's 21x9+26 21x10+39

Tires I am getting are 245/35-21 and 285/30-21. This is to keep the circumference the same with the staggered wheels on the AWD. I know the concern's and have done enough homework on the subject to be ok with the risk.

When test fitting them because of the 10+39 vrs the stock 7?, the wheel (at least while off the ground and w/o tires) was just about touching the shock.

Might just to have to do another test fit and be more thorough. However I would love some links to companies that make Spacer Hubs that will fit the RX. I myself cannot find anything that makes me feel confidant to buy.

I doubt you will find anyone who makes a hub w/ built in spacer for the RX. You'll likely have to use regular sandwich style hub-centric spacers. That being said, I checked www.allsprings.com and they don't even list ANY type of H&R spacers for Gen 2 RX. Maybe Gen. 1 will work? Good luck and hopefully you find some, otherwise only real option is to get wheels w/ the correct offset needed.

Here's a wheel offset calculator to help you figure out correct offset/spacer needed.

Good luck

Get a 5mm spacer. Slip it on, bolt up the wheel.

No need for a hubcentric spacer. Once you go 10mm's and above that's when you need hubcentric spacers since the OEM hub sticks out about 8mm so it can retain the use of hubcentric rings [if applicable]

If it is almost touching now without the spacer I doubt a 5mm spacer will do anything especially when the tires are mounted. You do know that the wheel gap is going to be larger right? I think you need to get at minimum 10mm but even at that you might have to get extended studs. I would also recommend some shank type lug nuts to get more bite on the stud. I'm curious to see how it fits but I'm guessing it'll be sticking out past the fenders when all is said and done, at least the rears.

put the tires on first then measure what size spacer is need, thats what i did. your rears will stick out a lot because of the width of the rear rim.

I really need to figure this out cause I have a 6-8 week wait on the tires it seems. I do not want to waist anymore time on this. Already taken too much out of my life. Gonna take a tape measure to the area.

That's a long wait. Are you getting the tires locally or online? If it's local couldn't they mount the same size (if they have it in stock, but I'm guessing they don't since not many have 21") to let you try and test fit so you don't waist your money?

Tires are not available nationwide. why the wait. I did a test fit as you can see in the images. But not with a tire on unfortunately. Maybe I should try to do an exchange or return. Been over a month though. These wheels are as good as it gets for JDM and VIP world. Why I got them. Mint condition. If gotten knew we are talking about $4K.

Anyways.... this stuff is all risky when buying into JDM. Took a risk. Might not pan out.

Got the tires on the wheels. Found out I needed a 3-5mm spacer in the rear from the offset. Got a 5mm spacer kit with longer bolts Now I need tuner lugs

This is driving me nuts. such a little thing but if anyone know how long the OEM lugs are!! This would REALLY help with me getting the right sized lugs. Not sure if a simple ruler measure is what was meant.

lugs should not be hard to find at all. You'll need an open ended acorn style lug nut that is short and thin. I doubt you'll need to replace your studs with the longer units. As long as you can get a minimum of 6 full turns of the lug nut then you're good to go. 5mm spacer is not wide at all.

21" is probably the most awkward size rim you can buy, thats why its hard to find tires. Staggered rims look cool for sure but only on some vehicles and wouldn't that totally screw up your tranny if its AWD? I can't wait to seee pics though and hopefully it works out in the end.

w/ 5mm spacers you shouldn't have any need to replace the studs...
