Sewell lexus online has wheel bearing assemblies at just under $600. So I guess, it wouldn't be much savings to DIY this one unless one gets a non-lexus replacement.

I wonder how these compare to OEM for those needing them for the rear?

Does this seem to be happening mainly to just those with AWD and needing them for the rear? What about those with FWD... anyone had to replace those up front yet?

I had two rear ones replaced, one at a time, early on. There was either a bad batch of them in the 2008's, or some jerk on the line did not bother to lube them before install. You have to work the grease in properly or they go dry.

Spent many a weekend day packing wheel bearings while helping dad work on the cars. Was one of the jobs he always left for me and I never seemed to mind.

Unfortunately these are sealed bearing...just big roller bearings...not the old tapered bearings of the past.
