Wow is this turning into quite the saga. Mandy, I feel bad considering how much you love your RX. I hope you have a happy ending.
If it makes you feel any better, I had a neighbor with an '05 RX. His son was prone to getting car sick. Well, one day he projected right into the vents in the back of the middle console. Seeing I had the '04, he ran over to me asking if I knew how to take the console apart. I didn't. I think he wound up going to the dealer to have them clean it. But I wonder if that smell ever got out of there completely.
