Search, there are a few on HL condensation.

I know your car's probably long out of warranty, but you have to admire the kahonies of a dealer (and a corporation that would allow same) charging that for a KNOWN quality control problem.

The repair itself (based on the one of the known root causes) is not that bad. In fact, had I known that the leak was usually on the top of the HL, I would have not torn the asssembly down.
In fact I am willing to suggest that a simple silicone seal will solve your problem.
Search for topics on condensation and read through them, you will get the gist.

Yes the RX was bought new in 2005 and original warranty has expired. $750 for fog lights (both sides) is a lot of $$.
Digging around, looks like the bumper has to be dropped to access the screws that holds the fog lights themselves. Then its a matter of silicone, have done this on previous cars I owned with success.
Was looking for an actual DIY instructions as how to remove bumper and fog lights...but still have not found anything solid. Will try to wing it one day, shouldn't be too difficult.

No, I don't play soccer!
GMoney, I think you could probably access the fog lights through the wheel well. I'd remove the cover and see. You might need to drop the cover underneath the engine first. Try this site for parts illustration - http://www.lexuspartsnow.com. I used it when I had the fog lights changed on my '10. The bumper did not have to be removed. Good luck.

GMoney,
Are the foglights still working? If they are, why did the dealer provide quote to replace? Can you use heat lamp to "dry" the fog light compartment? Once dried, take a liquid waterproof sealant that could flow into the gaps around the foglight compartment?

The fog lights still work..just some condensation. I guess in the dealer's eyes, they are no good and simply sealing is not an option.

Thats a good point though. I will try this method again to see if I can access the screws.
Thanks

GMoney,
Headlights, foglights, taillights are not meant to be hermetically sealed. There better ways to spend $750. It'll be fine, don't worry, be happy ya didn't paid the dealer $750!
