Default The Sweet Spot (Insulation)

So there has been a lot of threads about adding insulation to the rear of the RX330 to minimise the noise. I want to go through and redo the "under the toolbox" part at the rear of my car and add some insulation to it. However I have read that other people have placed it at various spots around the back, however I have not found an accurate position as to where these spots are. Anyone able to advise where would be the best place to add some additional insulation to the back? Additionally, would lowering the car say 1 - 1.5 inches help with the reduction of the noise? Has anyone done anything as far as further insulation inside the wheel well (I know some 4WD's have this applied to reduce the wheel noise)?
