Manual door lock rocker switch getting stuck
On the front passenger door, it has happened a couple of times where the rocker switch you use to manually lock or unlock the doors has got stuck. By stuck I mean it can be moved, but you need a LOT of force to move it one way, and an equal amount to move it back. But after a while the issue will mysteriously disappear and then the switch can be moved with the same simple flick of the thumb as with the other doors.
Since the power lock on that door was also not working, I had just ordered a new actuator from All Electronics as recommended in this forum, when the rocker switch got stuck again last night. This morning I reached in through the window and when I forced it it became unstuck and is working again. What I didn't expect is that the power door lock started also working again on that door!
So clearly the actuator was never an issue, and both problems are some type of mechanical linkage issue. Has anyone seen this before or have an idea what I should look for?

The lock rocker thingy has a cable that runs to the door catch/lock assembly. The exterior key has another stiff wire going to the lock assembly. DC motor of the actuator provides the third way to operate the lock assembly. [The OEM door lock actuator is part of the door lock assembly].
I would suggest that you try the key to test out the third link.
There can be a mechanical problem with the lock (3 ways) part and also with the release mechanism ... partial door open kind of messes up the locking mechanism. Test out the locks with door fully closed and also partially released.
