Yes, but this applies only to metallic tints when used on the windshield. The RX 300 used a silver metallic tint that played havoc with aftermarket, handheld, or notebook navigation systems by blocking most of the RF signal as well as UV. Applying this silver tint to a "visor" strip at the top of the windshield would block the factory nav's satellite antenna located behind the mirror. If you want to match your 330's dark tint, as most folks do, by applying a darker tint to the front side windows, it should be no problem.

Very dark or "limousine" tints are great in daylight, they really soften glare and look good too. They do have a considerable downside at night however, making it impossible to see anything that doesn't have headlights on it. My Dad borrowed my week-old '82 Suburban with dark factory tint in the rear one night - and promptly backed it squarely into an unseen live oak tree causing about $1,800 (1982) in damage. Guess he was getting me back for all his cars I dinged over the years. I think he still wound up ahead on points!

Same place as the 300, that box behind the inside mirror that is mounted to the windshield I believe contains the antenna and amplifier. It also contains the rain sensor for the wipers.

I had my 350Z tinted this weekend. For the front windows I got a product that you can hardly see at all, but blocks almost all infrared as well as UV. The product is called "V-Cool." Not many places carry it. It's not cheap. Here is a link to a page with their specifications.

It's as close to legal as you can get. I like something that does not impede my vision and won't get me in trouble, but reduces the heat factor.

That stuff sounds cool. I guess you did all your windows in that film. I want to block the sun and clean up the look of the rx with the front windows matching the rears.

Default OEM tint. What %?

What percentage is the OEM tint in the back? I want to continue the exact color to the front-side windows to make mine look continuous.

Thanks!

The OEM tint should be about 20% (medium shade) same as minivans with 'privacy glass'. That's the exact shade I have on my ES on all windows.........tint looks much better when the same % is used. Best tint is either 3M or Llumar (I use Llumar my self).

LLumar Platinum Plus(TM) window film, Roll# PP35-4960-2631474 matches the rear tint on the RX 300, and is a "silver" tone, not suitable for the 330.

I had the front side windows tinted by the guy who does the work for my dealer, but I don't know just what he used. He was careful to explain that it was the maximum legal tint - and it does match the dark grey color of the other side and back windows, if only very slightly lighter when looking through the car.

Anyone have the manufacturer and numbers to match the RX 330?

LLumar also makes a metalized 'charcoal' colour tint which should blend in quite well.......it look just awesome on my ES.

Default Anyone know the tint % on the 400h's or 330's?

I want to go one step darker on my 400h. It appears to be around 35%, so I am thinking I want 20%. Anyone know the true percentage?

Default 2004 RX330 Window Tint to Match

I want to match my front window tint to the factory installed back window tint.

I am getting ready to buy the kit but do not know which one I need and where the best place to buy one is at.

Any help would be GREAT!!

Thanks in advance

Be a shame if your local police make you replace the windshield after you tint it. Better check to see if it's legal... many states it's not...

Default Tint % on RX330

Anyone know how dark the factory tint is on the RX330? Looks like 35% or 30%.
