Aftermarket stereo on RX400h 2005 with steering wheel control wiring diagrams
I have an RX400h 2005 and live in England. My model does not come with a built in sat nav so I have pretty much an open slate to install an aftermarket kenwood head unit double din with all the bells and whistles. Before I commit to it though, I wanted to make sure of absolutely everything. Here is what I have have planned to purchase so far for the system.
1. Facia that replaces the OEM stereo, CD and radio (beat sonic)
2. Harness that patches into the speakers (beat sonic)
3. Harness that patches into the OEM lexus amp (beat sonic)
4. Harness and device for patching into steering remote control (pac audio SWI-Pac)
5. Kenwood 5260BT head unit
6. Unbranded rear camera unit
From what I have researched so far, all these items will work seamlessly and replacing everything OEM.
I do have a slight issue with the steering remote though. I have read in a few forums that I would lose all the functionality of thesteering wheel controls including the "DISP" button. I am already sorting out the steering remote with SWI-PAC from PAC audio, but the DISP button is what concerns me. This button is essential and toggles the dash display for MPG, ODOmeter and other hybrid functions. In all the forums everywhere, no one has actually confirmed that they got the DISP button to work with an aftermarket system on the hybrids.
Has anyone had any experience with this issue? Is there a wiring diagram anywhere that I can refer to that would tell me which wires are for the DISP button?
Any help on this is much appreciated.
Thanks.
