x2. Most transmissions are very sensitive to the fluids you fill them with, no need for any additives.

Just like the brake recall they have. Turns out (at least from their claim) that their brake fluid has "conditioners" and as such, not using it will hurt the seal.

In reality, the failure mode is the seal. Their seals must withstand contact with the normal DOT 3 fluid, non-Toyota brand, without conditioners.

It is not you and what you know.

It is just my observation. I do a lot of 8D analysis on failure modes on car parts.

Sorry it is a habit. Finding real root cause is the key. Then you can prevent it. Address the root cause and not the symptom.
