Default 2005-Lexus RX 330...Gas Pedal issue

Hi.... I have 2005-Lexus RX-330 , i am having problem in the gas pedal. Most of the time i have to press all the way down, to accelerate.

I am a third buyer of this SUV and dont know where it was manufactured and who should i goto b/c i dont have a warranty on it and not sure if this is also the reason of recalls. Please suggest....

Sounds like the pedal sensor may be bad. If you can find an ind. Shop,that is trust worthy,and capable of trouble shooting this problem fine. But you may need to bite the bullet,and go to the dealer. Others here may have more information re;this problem.

I would suggest start with the local dealer by going over the service history at Lexus [that is what they will have], then work out a plan to bring it upto date. Lexus should give you their estimate and you should under no obligation to have the work done at the dealership. Any recall will be done free of charge.

You can also ask for diagnosis before repair, but you will have to pay for the time.
