Anything I can do about a small windshield crack before it gets worse??

Ok the "Safelite" guy left about 30min ago. fixed the windshield. All done. He was professional and courteous. I felt guilty I had not thought about giving a tip so I did not give him the $3 I had on me. Anyways besides waiting the entire afternoon I was pleased not paying anything out of pocket for the services. I think it was about $60. Also it was the policy holders choice company. I was not picky.
Also I found out while on the phone with progressive that I have a $1,000 deductible! Hmmmm well that went down to $100 right then.
