Default In the Market for an RX

hey guys,
My mom is in the market for an RXxxx. I have an SC400 and after she drove my car she decided she definitely wants a Lexus (has been looking at BMW X5s and Infiniti FXs also). So my question is: Where should we start? I dont know very much about these cars. I know she wants navigation and heated seats are her top 2 options on her must have list. But any info would be greatly appreciated. i am currently searching through the forums here and trying to uncover some info on my own but thought why not get people who love and know these cars in and out to chime in and lend me a little help.
Thanks in advance for any response. At this point any info would be greatly apprectiated.

I assume you are in the market for a used car? What year range are you considering?

With that low a mileage you must be looking to buy a 2007 or later RX. Your best bet is to buy a Certified Lexus Preowned (CPO) vehicle. It would carry an extended warranty that you would not have when buying from a private party.

you'll find it prob difficult to find a 2005 to 2007 under 25k... and i bet that 08's under 25k are rare too

get a CPO from the dealer

The 2007 model year featured more power, improved navigation system and more. Good luck and keep us informed of what you are looking at (mileage, price, etc).

Might need to add $2K (budget $27K+tax) to get to the CPO 07's.

The only concern with these cars is the transmission lag.

But I did have them drain out the transmission fluid at 30k and 60k miles. 4qt change over each time. and this is on a FWD car with a tow package and only order it with that for the lager transmission cooler. Never put a hitch on the car nor would I ever tow something with it. Had a Dodge Dakota with a tow package for that and the olny thing that I ever hauled in that was a#&
