Brought my car to a friend that works for Toyota and he put the computer on it and it came up with the code that my Brake Light Switch was defective.
Checked the lights and they worked fine.
Brought the car to Lexus, Service Consultant confirmed it was the Brake Light Switch which is tied to all the other warning lights that came on on the right instrument panel. NOTHING to do with Gas Cap. Same time they did the Safety Recall Notice on the Brake Master Cylinder Cup. Bonus, they filled my gas tank for free. All warning lights are now operating normal.

Glad to hear you go it fixed. You always get a free tank of gas when you have a service bulletin item taken care of.

On the gas cap. Leave it off after you fill up. And you will get the lights to come on. The fuel tank pressure sensor throws the faults. Happens every time.

A lot of people seem to get the free tank of gas. I never got one, notwithstanding the service bulletin nature of the intervention (the latest being the replacement of the oil hose in my 09RX350). Lucky people!

It's interesting that couple people mentioned they DO NOT have TPMS in their 2006? My wife has an '05 RX330, and it has TPMS. Is it because other models are from Canada or something? Just thought it was a standard for all RX330 of '04+?

One question I have to all is to see if there is a way to just pull a fuse or to somehow mod the wire(s) so the TPMS light can be shut off? Try search, but didn't come up with any ideas.

Reason for this is that I'm thinking of going with 16" wheels (I know, it's opposite of most people) with more sidewall so to help the ride better as we currently have 18s (wife thought the ride is harsh). Rather than spending several hundreds on TPMS to retrofit 16" wheels, I thought of just disconnect or disable it (I have a Tundra, and it's done often). Any thoughts? BTW...the 16" is standard for Highlander, so I'm assuming it should fit RX330 as well? Anyone tried this? I found a set of 16s chrome wheels from LS430 for cheap on Craisglist, so I'm thinking of trying it out.

Found the tire was flat inside the garage in the morning; slapped on the spare and get it fixed....

The light was still on even we fixed the flat - checked all 5 tires (35psi) and reset TPMS

Everything works fine now!

the 2IS guys put all the tpms in the spare (doughnut wheel) and it worked fine....

Can you explain further? The TPMS were put inside the tire of the spare?

So that it will always read ok?

For the SC430 there is a way to deactivate the TPMS by pulling 2 connectors. takes 5 minutes to do. Would be good to find out if there is such a technique with the RX. Mine has the old TPMS system, no tire sensors.

However I have an issue with my SC430 now. I have a new set and I need to re-calibrate the sensors. And this is a dealer only item, sucks. I have the option of disconnecting the TPMS...but think that it will help me one of these days as I have read on some of the posts @ SC.

Most of the members complained about the bomb is that they leaks over time....

Another option to consider is replace the air in your tires with nitrogen. That will greatly reduce air loss and TPMS warnings. Nitrogen also reduces aging of the rubber and the tires will run cooler. Almost all the large truck fleets in the US now run nitrogen filled tires. If you are a Costco member, they will replace the air in your tires with nitrogen for free. I had nitrogen replacement over two years ago and zero TPMS warnings since that time.

Like your tires, you will have to check air pressure on your bomb! But no more TPMS warnings!

Like in my case, I have the old set in the garage which has the TPMS registered in the car.

On short trips, the TPMS will not light up. On long trips it looks for the signal and if it does not find it, the light will go on. But as soon as I go home and it reads the TPMS in the garage...the thing turns off.

So I need to get the TPMS off the old set and get them to the bomb!

I am selling my old rims-tires.
