Specifically, right turns and when i lightly press the door panel. 'Driver door open' indicator and overhead lights come on, doors also unlock. This started right after I slowly drove my 'sorta utility vehicle' over a small curb so I'm guessing this is some kind of sensor thing. Wondering if there's anything I can check/replace on my own.

Your door switch is the issue, play around with it. It could be loose.

This happened in my old Ford truck. The dealer wanted 300 dollars to replace the switches in the door. After a search on the internet I found that you can just spray WD-40 on the switches.
Just clean them out. And open and close the doors a few times. The lights never came back on. The switches were just sticking.

That is odd,but I once (a long time ago) had a Chevy Chevette, that upon going around a hard right turn (i.e an on/off ramp) the motor would almost stall out. That was carb.related. I`m not sure what your dilemma is. I hate electrical problems.

Thanks, folks, I'll play around with it. Is this something I'd have to take the door panel off to do? Helped wrench on a friend's rx330 before i bought mine but never did any electrical. Just figured something might've gotten misaligned after my epic low-speed roll over a curb because it started right after that.

Decided the drive-thru line was too long, turned & went out and drivers side tires went up over a small curb. Didn't seem like it should've been a big deal. Light/locks issue started directly after. I've done far worse in my jeeps and I know the rx isn't a jeep but still...a curb?? Can't be coincidental.

Sounds like something I would do. Now weather it is related to your problem going on now? I hate to say this, but it seems pretty strange to just be coincidental. What could have been affected by jumping the curb via the electrical system is beyond me. Try disconnecting your neg. batt. terminal for 10 minutes. The 1st generation RX`s used to respond to that for electrical gremlins. Cant hurt to try,(although you will have to reset your power window`s,tail gate radio etc.)

Just the negative terminal? Funny enough, I'd gotten a new battery not long after that so it was totally unhooked at one point- don't know if that's ok or if it should be just the neg. And thanks to this forum for helping me figure out that the windows needed to be reset! I thought that was just a progression of elec problem.
