Guess I'll be taking my 2005 RX330 to my Toyota dealer at 100,000 miles to change the belt instead of Lexus. That should cut the $600 price in half. My local Toyota dealer (Quad City Toyota) regularly beats the local cheap mechanics as far as price goes. Lucky for us who live in the Quad Cities.

An update, the accessory belt is all quiet now. Took about 4 days to fix itself.

Exactly why I take mine to the Toyota dealership. There are some things they have to get from Lexus but for the most part they get parts for half the price. I bought a bulb for $10 from Toyota where Lexus was charging $20!

I first took my Lexus to local mechanics they couldn't find the problem and cost me an arm and a leg....took it to the Toyota dealership and only paid an arm....
