2008 RX350 VSC OFF light on.
"VSC OFF" light came on the other day. I took my RX350 to the dealer. The dealer said Heater Element sensor is bad. They didnot have this part in stock. I googled this part. Nothing comes up under that search. I took it to Autozone and the code came up as Mass Air flow sensor. Are both of these same thing? Please advise. Thank you in advance.

I had this problem with my 2008 rx350. I tried tighting the gas cap, which did turn out to be loose. This didn't solve the problem, but the next time I filled the gas tank the light went away. Try googling VSC OFF in lexus, that's where I came up with the idea to tighten the gas cap.

VSC + Check Engine light
There is definitely something weird about the RX line b/c it seems the VSC light comes on for all kinds of issues that have no apparent connection with Vehicle Stability Control.
My 2007 RX 350 had a similar problem a few days ago: Check Engine came on, as did VSC light. Take to dealer: they replace a coil. That's an ignition part. I was thinking it must be a wheel speed sensor or something but no...
I'm going to buy an OBD-II reader. You can get a wireless (bluetooth) reader to plug into your car for about $50. Download a free app for your Android or iPhone, pair 'em and you can figure this stuff out for yourself...

We had the VSC and Check Engine lights come on. Also, the car was sputtering intermittently. The OBD II showed Spark Coil #4 was defective. Web search indicated that #4 often fails on this RX350. I think it is heat related. Anyway. $400 later at Lexus, all was well.

We have an '07 RX350 and the VSC and check engine light came on intermittently for the past several weeks. Recently I had service work which included replacing the air and cabin filter replaced and I haven't seen the VSC or check engine light since that time. I can't say this is absolutely the solution but I'm happy for the relief

Wanted to report this: Today, after filling up with gas in NM on a cross country drive, my 2008 x350 (90k miles) had an issue where the CHECK ENGINE light came on and the VSC started blinking. Also the "skid" icon.
Luckily I did a search here, and found out about possible gas cap issue. (Who knew that a gas cap could cause that many lights to come on?)
Anyway, I kept driving, and when I got home, I thoroughly cleaned the rubber gasket of the gas cap, and cleaned the entire gas cap area. Still, that did not solve the problem.
But later tonight, I cleaned it further, and also spray a bit of WD40 on the rubber gasket of the gas cap, and left it alone for an hour. I came back, and miraculously, all the dashboard warning lights were OFF!
Thank you, Club Lexus.

If the CEL lights come back on, it would be good to get the codes read to diagnose your problem. The dealer here in Silicon Valley charges $165 to read and diagnose your codes. You can get an OBD II code reader for under $100. It is a worthwhile investment. Then you can find the codes and do more productive searches using the codes on this forum and on Youtube. Do a search on the code and model. Otherwise, you are just guessing. And you have the option to turn off the check engine and vsc light so you don't have to look at them and just wait for the lights to reappear before dealing with the issue. I'm guilty of doing this. BTW, the gas cap fix relates to P0442 and P0446 codes, Evap Emission leak, if that is your issue.
