How did you take the photo looking directly into the light housing? I had to swap out a bulb and could not see into the housing and had to blindly install the light and the hold down bracket.

Auto mechanic disassembled the whole Driver's head light assembly because with the new replacement $170 HID bulb didn't work & unsatisfied expectation, he took it another notch to expose the flawed sealing design housing a very expensive Ballast. In my opinion with a very expensive ballast it should have been shut sealed considering the location to harsh rainy weather. Driven on road and freeways where there is such a pool of of water could easily get splashed into the ballast chamber with a such a lame and flawed sealing design by Lexus.

Thank you Rainbird, it's really a bad design flaw where they situated a very, very expensived Ballast, it's not just a $10 bulb or ballast, I was quoted by Lexus $1500.00 for the ballast assy only. should have been shut sealed, the most bottom part and under the whole light assembly. A very, very susceptible place in getting splash on driving or running thru pool of water on roads, streets and freeways.

i have owned other cars that this has happened, but they were halogen lights. so they didnt have all of the expensive hardware etc. to affect.

Precisely my friend, Lexus RX330 Headlight's design is flawed no matter what angle you look at it. Lexus will pony up money again to cover this mess.

Here's another way of looking at this, would Rolex take their fine, expensive internal watch components and encase these components with a swatch-like skin/exterior housing?

Local Lexus dealer service repair replaced both right and Left hand whole Head Light Assembly at "Good Faith" was blessed by Lexus customer service headquarter Torrance California.

Thanks Lexus!!!
