Safety Recall BLC (B2C) - Certain 2004 - Early 2007 Model Year RX 330, RX 350 and RX 400h Vehicles Driver's Side Floor Carpet Cover and Retention Clip
At the present time, Lexus is developing the remedy for this safety recall. As soon as a remedy is available, Lexus will notify owners of covered vehicles by first class mail. Please continue to to check this site for additional information.
What is the Condition?
In 2004 through certain 2007 model year RX330/350/400h vehicles, if the forward retention clip used to secure the driver's side Floor Carpet Cover, which is located in front of the center console, is not installed properly, the cover may lean toward the accelerator pedal and interfere with the accelerator pedal arm. If this occurs, the accelerator pedal may temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position when returning to the idle position. An accelerator pedal temporarily stuck in a partially depressed position may increase the risk of a crash.

Yup, I have the same information on my VIN.

 

I will wait for the letter to come in then call ion for a schedule.

 

This is such b@@@s$%^, brought on by pressures of Government Motors, no doubt. Guess we all get a free wash though!

 

And a free fill up...way gas price is heading...might be worthwhile.

So you are included in the recall?

 

This is an old recall right after the brake cylinder cup recall . I had this done back in Dec '10 when I brought my RX in for the brake cup replacement.

 

No, this is new as of today. They added 2.17 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles to the recall. I suspect that something new is going on here, in that they haven't figured out the fix yet.
