parts from Japan?
Would anyone happen to know where the OEM oil filter is manufactured? The -YZZA1 ? Perhaps someone has one handy and can just read the country of origin off the label on the package?
Also, am I correct in assuming that the oil and fluids used at the Lexus service departments are not manufactured in Japan?

Made in Thailand. I wouldn't worry about it. They're still made to Toyota spec. We use them all day, every day with no problems.

Denso makes them. And yes it does not matter where it is made, as long as it bears the Denso name.
