Default trans fliud cooling line flush

I have a question for you guy`s that do this. I know its easy enough to do on the RX. But after you run the fluid until its cherry red, and hook the lines back up, is the trans filled to the correct level? or is it a little low?

Mandy, I dont mean a flush with a machine. I mean disconnecting the lines from the cooler, it gets all the fluid out that way even from the converter.

You won't empty the converter by gravity draining or simply disconnecting the lines, if that is want you mean.

I think he means running it while the cooler lines are disconnected till you see cherry red colored fluid.

I didn't flush trans, just open transmission pan , replaced filter and filled.
Only one thing i will suggest, after you filled with new oil, properly, mean get transmission to operation temp, then check your level after couple weeks. Why?
I tell you. First was everything normal, then I noticed my tranny does behavior very strange when it's cold, like RPM high and it should switch to the next gear but it didn't do that, then I would let go gas pedal and it switched to next gear. I've check level it was just hair little below hot level when it's hot. I thought it's nothing, I went to dealer even to see what they do think about. Dealer said it's normal. Normal? It's not normal!!!.
So I got more fluid and drove like 15 miles than add just a hair above level with engine ON of course, then drove home, check fluid it was just perfect. So next cold morning (it was most noticeable during cold mornings), I drove in the different modes, fast, turning fast, just normal driving and ect, so the tranny is started working like supposed to be.
So be careful with tranny fluid level. It's very sensitive to level.

Oh I for got to tell I add about 200 ml or 0.2 (qt) or just a cup of liquid fluid

The way I did it on my old car (an ES300) was to unplug the bottom, let it drain out, plug it back up and top up through the trans oil dipstick. Waited for a few minutes to settle and then measured. Once it was about half-way up, started the car up and moved through each of the gears slowly (as per the instructions) and then tested fluid again and topped up where necessary. Took it for a drive, inspected for leaks, tested and topped up as needed. Worked a treat.
