Default Seatbelt Dinger

The battery died in my 2009 RX350. I had it replaced and now the seatbelt dinger goes off if the belts are not buckled. I can't rememeber how to disable that. Can anyone help me? This one does have NAV. I can't seem to get into the NAV service screen which is where I thought I should go to disable the dinger.

Disable or Enable Seatbelt Chime:

1. Turn the ignition switch on (without starting car)
2. Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO"
3. Turn the ignition switch off
4. Turn the ignition switch on
5. Press ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds after turning the power switch ON) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more.
6. Continue holding the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the front passenger's seat belt.
7. Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-off" (it will be "b-on")
8. Press the ODO/TRIP button to change the display to "b-off".
9. Turn the ignition switch off.

Amazing. Toyota will not let the passanger use the nav system but they provide a method for turning off the seat belt chime.

That worked, thanks. Do you know how to deactivate the curb mirrors? My mirrors are not lowering when the car is put into reverse.

I assume you mean activate the mirrors. Set the mirror control switch to left or right.

the mirrors only fold down when the gearbox is put into reverse ONLY when the side mirror switch is in the left or right position. if the switch is set in the middle then the mirrors will not fold down automatically

after trying this 2 times i was unable to get the "b-on" or "b-off" to come up on the odometer when i plugged the passenger seat belt in.

on my 3rd try i plugged in the driver's side seat belt and it worked.

no idea why it was different, but it worked, the annoying chime is now off

Thanks. That worked. I think everything is back as it should be now.
