I haven't heard of any new mats, just clips and someone said this panel was new. can anyone confirm it is different than a non-recall panel?
This is my car after the recall, there are no scuff marks on it but I couldn't tell you what it looked like before!
I did buy new mats when I had this done but they were identical to the old ones which I kept.

Had mine done earlier this week. Took them about 1-1/2 hours. Appears to be a new floor mat and larger floor mat clips. They made no mention of replacing the kick panel, but I looked and it doesn't show any scuff marks either, hmmm. Not sure if it was replaced. BTW, my dealer does not give free gas for recalls, just a car wash.

I just had mine done last week, and I did not get new carpets (many report they got new carpets, although mine were replaced when I bought my '04 in '07, so maybe they are a conforming style), nor did they replace the kick panel shown in the photo above (I don't think - my panel is pretty much scuff free also, but I don't think I kick it much).
It surely did not take them 90 minutes to do the work. I think it took them 60 minutes to get around to your car, and 30 minutes at the most to do the recall work. (My total wait time was about 60 minutes, and they did some other things for me on the car also, plus the usual wash, plus the fill-up with gas.)
As for the no gas, that's too bad. My "Service Girl" (surely not her official title) said to me upon checkout that they filled the tank and that Lexus had asked for that on these recalls, implying that it was optional and they are so nice and where else do you get free gas? From what I read here most dealers are filling the tanks, except that one place in Poquoson.

Since nobody expects free gas, surely some dealers decline the suggestion of Lexus to fill tanks with this recall; what those dealers don't seem to grasp is that a lot of us owners talk to each other, and we are spread out all over the country. Mentioning your disappointment to your dealer or service manager might help, although it's got to be tough to convince anybody to pass out free stuff when it's optional.

I did not read any way in the letter saying a new floor mat is to come with the recall. Lexus called for follow up and I mentioned that to them, I was told new mat is not expected.

When everyone says "carpet" recall, I'm assuming you're talking about the BLC? That's the lastest one for the older RX's. And yes it replaces the kick panel by the accelerator pedal. Like the pic Carver put up. There are no mats or carpet replaced.

You should not need a "loaner" unless other work is being done, as the recall work takes no more than 20 or 30 minutes. Bring along a book and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee.

Er, well you can do that if you like. I will take a new 2011 RX and take care of my chores thanks. It's free.
