I had my RX330 in for the carpet clip recall today and they filled it up again. It was near empty too. I'm sure that they put in well over $60 in gas. I had a grease and oil done too as long as it was there and I was given a 2011 RX loaner. I had a busy schedule today and I really appreciated the loaner.
I didn't like the 2011 RX nearly as much as my 04 for several reasons. The 2011 has really poor visibility out the rear view mirror mostly due to the rear seat headrests blocking so much. The ride was busy, bouncy might describe it better. The ride was not as smooth as my 04. The car would also not want to track straight requiring constant correction to keep it going in a straight line. This might just be an alignment issue but it was a chore to drive. The Michelin tires were noisy too. I didn't care for the loss of the right side armrest and for me, it just was not comfortable to drive. I also disliked the loss of the touchscreen interface to the NAV. I didn't like the UI device at all. In fact, the whole layout of the dash turned me off. The climate control was goofy too. To get it to blow slightly warm air I had to push the temp up to 83° The air coming out was not 83° so that was odd. The MPG value presented in the dash would disappear every time I would activate the cruise control. It serves no purpose to hide that, IMHO.
As much as I'd like to buy a new vehicle, I don't think I'll be buying a new RX anytime soon.

Yes, the Bluetooth Audio is very nice to have. My experience was different when my 2006 400h was in for service. I was quite smitten by the 2011 loaner I had. The voice commands worked most of the time compared to my vehicle which is never. I will admit that my touch screen seems more user friendly than the mouse thing, but I could probably get used to it.
Anyway, did they just replace the clips or did you get new carpet?

When my RX was in for the oil line recall and mats. They filled it both times.
I have had the chance to drive the third generation RX a couple of times. And it takes a little time to get use to. But I would buy one.
I missed my touch screen. But the new screen sits deep inside the dash. So you dont have the glare. The mouse takes time getting use to. But after awhile I was driving down the road using it with no problem. iPod cable and built in USB was nice. Loved the center console over our mickey mouse arm rests.

I purchase a used 2008 RX 350 in March and took it to the dealer to see what could be done for the missing clips under the driver side mat. In one hole there was just a metal circle and in the other it was just a hole. The car was still under warranty and although the 2008 wasn't under the recall they replaced the carpet at no charge. I also ended up with a 2011 loaner, and I have to agree I didn't like the ride or the layout as much as the 2008.

Like anything new. It takes a awhile to get use to. I dont like the crazy Star Trek looking dash. But over all it is a great improvement.
Just ask anyone who drove a first generation RX. I liked the looks of mine over the 2nd Gen. But the steering radius on the 1st Gen was unreal.

Waiting for my letter as well; was told it would be in the mail some time this month when I went in for the brake recall 2 months ago. I got an ES loaner during that recall but that's only because I also did oil.
The guy said even though I have all weather mats, they'll still do the recall. I will ask about the gas since they didn't do it last time (maybe I'll bring it in when it's low).
