Default Changed Cabin Air Filter

I finally got around to changing the Cabin Air Filter in my 09 RX. Just dropped the glove box down and slid out the filter tray and replaced filter. Old filter was dirty but didn't look too bad. Anyway it was easy and I'm glad I finally got it done.

Blues, congrats. It always feels great to DIY and save a few bucks. I changed mine the other day. There were a few little leaves in there. Last change was October maybe. Lots of leaves and junk back then. It's well worth it and inexpensive too.

What brand filter did you use?

I use the Lexus filter. Fram is not the same. Pricewise there is no real difference. Add in shipping and Lexus costs more. I get mine from Sewell along with a few other things so it isn't as bad. I haven't tried a Toyota dealer yet. I'm sure they carry them at a reasonable price.

Just curious is anyone using the Blitz A/C hybrid filter instead as Lexus? If so what are your impressions?

I just used the Purolator filter from Pep Boys. It looked just like the filter I took out.

I just replaced mine with one purchased from AutoZone for $14.99 (not Fram). Looks just like the original factory filter. There are online Lexus parts dealers if you want to spent a little more.

Btw, there are couple youtube video instructions for those that are mechanically challenged like me.

I use the 3M Filtrete Automotive Cabin Filter. This filter will capture particles measuring down to 5 microns. The link is for various Toyota models but this filter fits the Lexus RX350 perfectly.

I hope it's easier now than it was in my 2004 Highlander (same car basically). That was a PITA, but I did manage to change it once.

Is that the Fram filter with baking soda?
