Midas did a great job for me, if you know the Firestone guys use them. Make sure they are careful with the rear hangers. They shouldn't be visible, like this...

I hate to keep asking questions but I gather some one will fin this thread and get the info they need like me
- I need a new/used flange.
- To cut and shorten the forward hanger to move the wider Magnaflow over to keep it
off the spare.
- To remove the tow hook on that side to get extra room.
- 60 bucks hopefully but maybe not depending on the shop and workers.
Any of this work done going to be a problem when or if the stock muffler needs to go back on?
Thanks again. I am test fitting the new rear lip and will see how much room I have to play with when I install the Muffler.

They cut the existing flange and used that, I guess you could buy a new one should you decide to go back to stock but they could just weld the original back on even if they needed to section in a piece of pipe.
Cutting the forward hanger was their solution to the problem of the magnaflow being wider than stock, your guys may have a better idea. The tow hook is two bolts.
Price, I don't know about CA. There is nothing on this install a good muffler shop hasn't seen a 1000 times before, the only thing I would ask for specifically is that the rear hangers be welded to the top, not the back or sides. It's more work for them but they know it looks better.

infinirx, I'm in CA (SF) and know a guy but haven't had a chance to talk to him yet; will try today late afternoon. His shop deals with mods all the time so I'll prep your questions to him and hopefully come back with useful info tonight.
Edit: Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the shop on time last evening. Hope your install went well today, Tuesday.

Soooooooooo the Midas in my area told me they are not allowed to do it cause it's a custom part and they could get sued. I call big BS cause they would have done it if I had bought the muffler from them. but oh well. On to a new search.

Nah it's all good. I think Carver got a Midas that is a bit more lax about these things. Maybe cause some Midas shops are privately owned that some can differ. Couple of my friends are helping me out with a place.
