The Official "What have you done to your RX today thread" :)

Accidentally, before I went to sleep on Thursday, log in into ebay to see if anything came up, and found this guy for $140 shipped. It's used, but in super mint condition. Didn't leave it to a chance and used buy it now option

I took some pics today of some of my notable additions and modifications. I have done tons of little things to my car but here are some notable ones.
-Added Sirius/iPod interface
-Added 12" Kicker sub
-Tinted 20% all around
-Replaced black door handles with chrome
-Removed roof Rack
-Added window roll up feature (Roll the windows up with remote)
-Wired the parking lights to come on when I unlock the car
-Wired the stereo to come on when I unlock the car (like an Audi) and to stay on until I lock the car (like a BMW)
-Disabled the factory running lights and added LED running lights in the lower bumber
-Smoked the red reflectors in the back bumper
-Changed footwell accent lights, overhead accent lights and door handle lights to blue LEDs
-Changed scuff plate lights to white LEDs
-Added white LED footwell lights (connected to dome light)
-Changed lock and window switch lights from the factory greenish color to white
-Added rear parking sensors
Some that I would like to do:
-Add front parking sensors
-Add a hitch (since I will be moving to the east coast soon and need to pull a trailer)
And probably more to come.

Unless it's a feature of the 2006 RX400h. 2nd gen RX as far as I know cannot roll up the windows with the remote, just roll down (pressing and holding the unlock button). To close windows, need to use the key in the door.
Scuff plates yeah they all light up, but in that soft yellow. How do you change them to LEDs and hence other colours?

For the windows, I bought a PAC TR7 module and wired it to the door lock cylinder and the lock motor. When I press lock twice on the remote within 5 seconds, the TR7 activates the door lock wire which makes the car think that someone is holding the key in the door and then rolls up the windows.
For the footwell lights, I just bought some small LEDs from Superbrightleds.com and wired them to the parking lights. I didn't wire them to the existing LEDs because the car supplies very low voltage to them and when you shift into gear the car dims the factory LEDs to the point that they are almost not on. I just disconnected the factory footwell lights all together and just use the new ones.
The Scuff plates....I just cut out the amber LED and soldered in a white one. The scuff plates are kind of tricky because they are in place with double sided tape. It is a bit of a pain to take them apart.
The door handles...I cut out the old LED and soldered in a blue one. But the door handles are dim like the footwell lights so I wired them to the power from the windows so that they are brighter.
The overhead console...The LEDs were too hard to get to, so I just cut the wire that provides the factory ones power and I drilled a small hole just behind the sunglass holder and placed a blue LED there. You can't see the hole when you are seated.

Excellent job on those mods!
Regarding the scuff plates, I opened one up, but couldn't find any way to access the amber LED without using a dremmel to cut the clear plastic cover and I'm guessing this is what you did.
I decided to step away from it, but might try again. Do you recall the size of LED bulbs that you used?
