Alignment is so important - look at my tires
I've been experiencing wheel shaking and pulling to the left for a while, and didn't think it's a big deal. a few days ago, found out the tires are uneven worn. Took my car to sears to do a free rotation and alignement. and found out the two front tire is at the edge of blowing!
Because AWD needs 4 same spec tires, i have to dispose the old ones. and bought 4 new Goodyear Assurance Comfort Touring. I could at least drive 5000miles on the old one, but can't risk it any more.
Guys, always check your tire and do rotation every time change oil ! if cars not driving straight, or wheel shaking go do a free alignment check at goodyear or firestone.

Unless it is raining I do a quick walk around my RX before hitting the road at least once on the days I leave the house. I check the garage for any leak indications, look at the condition of the tires, things like the wiper blades, lights when it is dark, anything hanging from the vehicle, etc. Takes less than 30 seconds. In a typical week I will have done this 3 or 4 times.
Even when walking up to your car in the parking lot at the grocery store gives you an opportunity to visually inspect a few things such as the rear wiper blade or a tire or two as you approach the vehicle.
Furthermore, tire pressures are checked a minimum of monthly and a closer inspection of the tires is done at that time.
Tires in that condition can kill.

Thanks for the heads up but that is quite negligent on your part. Try to rotate the tires at every oil change. Your mechanic can tell you if your tires are bad. That excessive negative camber worries me whether you are overloading your vehicle, need new bushings, suspension sag, etc. If you are in the los Angeles area, there's a guy in the off topic section that can hook it up with a lifetime alignment at Firestone for $120.

Lexus recommends rotation of tires every 5,000 miles. This should have been noticed when doing minor maintenance (oil changes, rotation, etc). Those tires were terribly unsafe.

When I got my '05 it was roaring so badly from the rear I genuinely thought it needed rear wheel bearings. I took it to my mechanic and he showed me how badly cupped the rear tires were. Some new tires and a 4 wheel alignment later and it tracks, drives and sounds like new.
Reminds me, I need to buy a tire gauge this week.

Wow! I am impressed!
I look at the tires on all the vehicles whenever I wash them, or walk around them, or just while it and I are standing in the driveway. I occasionally have to drive my bride's RX to see if anything new I should know about has occurred. The scratches and dents and scrapes I *always* notice first. On HER car!

What the hell did you hit? Something is bent, or just plain wore out! that tire was going to pop at any time.
