I can't get the cd changer to show on the nav. I can play the ipod but I have to control it through the ipod itself. and that only works in simple mode. If I cahnge out of simple mode I can only listen to the first album but I can change songs through the steering wheel controls. No song titles are displayed any where except on the ipod itself.

I have it installed in a 2007 RX 400h with nav.

 

Initialize the unit by changing the switch positions, key insert, wait for beep, switch back to up position (check the manual for specific instructions). That should take care of it.

 

Tried that a dozen times and I can not get anything on the Nav.

I disconnected the whole thing to see what my nav looks like with disks loaded. I don't get the six round symbols with cd changer displayed on the upper left of the screen. Mine has rectangles and the upper left says dvd changer.

 

Stating the bleedin' obvious, but you need to press the Disc button twice to get the Vais unit connected. First press brings up the DVD with the rectangles and the second press brings up the Vais. The screen says "CD PLayer".
